* It is recommended to block any possible movement of the rotating unit by a thrust ring in case of sealed pressure exceeding 0.4 MPa.
** Version A11 is available with rotating ring with carbon graphite wear resistant insert for abrasive applications.
General characteristics
Single, outside mounted seal, balanced. Direction of rotation-independent. Bellows of PTFE. Multi-spring.
Range of sizes available
- Shaft diameter: d = 20 ... 80 mm
Operating parameters
- Pressure: < 0.9 MPa
- Temperature: < 120 °C
- Velocity: < 8 m/s (2500 rpm)
Applications
The A10 mechanical seal is designed to work with extremely aggressive chemical compounds which do not contain abrasive particles. Metal components of the A10 seal do not touch the sealed medium. The A10 seal has a visual wear indicator. An A11 version is available with a rotating ring with a carbon graphite insert, recommended for media with abrasive particles.
NOTE: It is not recommended to use the type A10 seal with the following media: dissolved alkaline metals, chlorine trifluoride, gaseous fluorine.
